Gibson Es 150? Pre-war Project Missing Charlie Christian Pickup Messed Up!!!
Poor thing. It looks almost like a clown from the front. Some criminal had his or her way with this formerly majestic instrument with unfortunate results. It looks to my unpracticed eye like the bridge, tailpiece, nut, truss rod cover, frets, endpin for the strap, tuners and ferrules are original. And possibly the strings (just kidding about the strings). Everything else about this guitar is TOTALLY messed up (well, the back is in alright shape). You can see holes in the top that have been filled in that would be appropriate for the mounting of a Charlie Christian pickup, and for appropriately spaced volume and tone controls (along with a couple of others that I think someone drilled and filled in themselves). That, the body size and the pre-war 'Gibson' script logo on the headstock are what prompt me to guess the model number. I don't know what you're going to do with this (I had the same problem) but I hope you treat it better than it's former owner(s). Peace.
